Masía Aldamar
The history of this rustic property is linked to the Lassala family, so the recovery of this privileged enclave means a lot to Grupo El Alto . The original building dates from the seventeenth century, first as an inn on the road between Madrid and Valencia, then as a dry land estate – vine, olive, fruit trees – hence the existence of its old wineries and oil mills; and finally as a citrus farm.
Description
The history of this rustic property is linked to the Lassala family, so the recovery of this privileged enclave means a lot to Grupo El Alto . The original building dates from the seventeenth century, first as an inn on the road between Madrid and Valencia, then as a dry land estate – vine, olive, fruit trees – hence the existence of its old wineries and oil mills; and finally as a citrus farm.
Masía Aldamar has architectural and decorative elements typical of the Valencian tradition such as ceramics from the 16th and 17th centuries, the cobbled courtyard, the irrigation pond, the oil mill and its centennial garden – where a Hackberry stands out, listed among the illustrious trees of the Valencian Community-. After a few years being owned by the Belgian company REVA, the estate has returned to the Alfaro-Lassala family who exclusively manage this historic space.
We are currently recovering its winery and oil mill. The historic winery has been documented as such since 1870, the production of wine is part of this historic house –which was sold in Valencia on the ground floor of the Palacio del Negrito, also owned by the Lassala Family–. Also the production of oil and of course the traditional cultivation of the orange. For this reason and together with a winery with a long family tradition , we are recovering the aging of wine, as in the past. Furthermore, with the spirit of our mill we are producing a high quality oil. For years, the Principal lounge has welcomed 500 guests in an open and welcoming space.
Grupo El Alto offers a unique experience in the Masía Aldamar , from an oil or wine tasting in the winery and surrounded by centuries-old barrels ; to a Mediterranean menu with the quintessential Valencian citrus [orange] as the protagonist, in any of its magnificent rooms: the fireplace room, the tower room or the aging room . And without a doubt the Patio de los olivos , the gardens and the recently inaugurated Casa del Agua , a bright space with sloping beamed ceilings.
We have recovered the agricultural tradition of the Masía, and in tune with the rehabilitation of its interior, we offer an unforgettable experience to our guests, including the possibility of making a stay in their bedrooms that with absolute respect for the original decoration and furniture are perfectly renovated . Thus both newlyweds and close relatives can spend the night on the noble floor of Masía Aldamar .
For Grupo El Alto, it is a great satisfaction to have recovered this estate, which offers a multitude of spaces for all kinds of events, from exclusive company cocktails to weddings and parties. Each corner of the farmhouse has a special charm and history that make it a privileged and unique place for any celebration.
La Masía Aldamar has an unbeatable location due to its proximity to the city of Valencia and the Manises airport. The natural environment, the ease of access and the services offered by this farmhouse make it undoubtedly one of the reference places for any event to be a real success. It is currently one of the Grupo El Alto reference spaces .
